Lavandi Talent is currently working with a fantastic Beauty and Personal Care business who are looking for a skilled Senior Chemist to join their team!
Key Responsibilities:
Develop innovative formulations independently and conduct product stability assessments. Propose reformulation alternatives when necessary.
Generate new skincare formulations and processes, understanding their implications on production.
Liaise effectively with R&D and related departments to advance projects and ensure seamless integration.
Understand and integrate processing, operating, and design elements impacting skin care formulations.
Collaborate with Regulatory, QC & Compliance teams to ensure FDA compliance for formulation requirements.
Handle multiple projects concurrently, meeting deadlines under tight schedules.
Acquire expertise in relevant software systems essential for formulation development.
Follow GMP guidelines, SOPs, and safety protocols rigorously.
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified to degree level in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of formulation experience, with a focus on skin/hair/OTC products.
In-depth understanding of cosmetic raw materials, latest technologies, and manufacturing practices.
Proficiency in laboratory techniques and scale-up production equipment.
Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively within a team.
Confident in mentoring junior chemists, fostering their growth and development.
Strong team-building skills, promoting a collaborative work environment.
Possesses a creative and out-of-the-box mindset to drive innovation in formulations.
