Just because you’re happy doesn’t mean you can’t be happier.
Most people who read job adverts are not desperate for a new job. People like you for example. You’re happy enough. Well thought of. Well looked after.
But that doesn’t mean that you can’t be better looked after. Challenged more. Or more fulfilled. You don’t always need to have a reason to click apply other than how good another company sounds.

This is a business where 8 planners are billing on average £475,000 per annum. They’re working on complex cases referred through their colleagues in the accountancy business. And as the wider firm grows so does the need to grow the financial planning arm.
And it doesn’t take years to get to these levels. One of their most recent hires will be there within two years and there aren’t many firms where you can do that.
You do need to be proactive. The resources are there but it’s dependent on you developing relationships. The accountants are willing in but as the firm adds new partners it needs someone who can educate them on the benefits of financial planning.
But those resources are a treasure trove of clients allowing you to be a niche planner. Corporate finance, the medical market, referrals from legal connections, it’s all in place. The taps are there, they just need turning on.
To do that you’ll have significant financial planning experience. You’ll have a track record of developing business. And you’ll be good enough technically to undertake complex financial planning.
But it’s not about being a technical superstar. You’ll have in-house support for that. It’s about being a good planner – trustworthy, honest and great at asking the right questions.
Salary is £70,000 – £80,000 plus bonus and benefits. There’s flexible working. You’ll be in the office seeing clients/partners but you won’t be tied to your desk. It’s a grown up environment as you’d expect.
