Job Title: Senior Financial Business Partner
Location: London (Hybrid)
Role Objective:
To support the production and analysis of financial reporting within the Group. The role will play a key role in ensuring that the analysis and commentary produced ensures that management and leadership teams are kept informed about financial performance/risks.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning
- Prepare and present financial analysis to support commercial decision making.
- Support the delivery of quarterly financial information
- Assist with finance projects relating to the improvement of processes or strategic initiatives
- Demonstrates awareness and understanding of Aspen and segment’s strategy and FP&A activities through effective judgement and analysis
Policy, Process and Procedures
- Supports the implementation of the Finance strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets
- Assist in various aspects of production and analysis of the Groups internal MI
- Assist with financial close process in order to meet reporting deadlines
- Responsible for identifying improvement opportunities and designing and implementing associated enhancements
Environmental Awareness/Customer Focus
- Establishes, strengthens and develops relationships with stakeholders to support their needs, maximise influence, and achieve business objectives
- Collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across Underwriting lines of business, Group Finance, Segment Finance, Reserving, Pricing, Outwards Reinsurance Accounting, Investments and Strategy
Technical Performance
- Assist in the preparation of detailed analysis of the Group result with informed commentary which explains the key drivers and how these relate to the performance of the business
- Produces reports, analyses and management information to inform decision making and to notify management/ leadership teams in respect of financial performance
Requirements & Skills:
- 5 years post-qualification experience within the (re)insurance industry
- Internationally recognized accounting designation (CA, ACA, CPA or equivalent)
- Experience working with data to provide insight and analysis
- Strong fundamentals of Insurance accounting from previous experience
- Strong knowledge of the (Re)insurance industry
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of US GAAP reporting
- Proactive, self-motivated with a team orientation
- Strong work ethic and high energy who strives for excellence
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel is essential
- Experience with data analytics and data visualisation tools preferred
