Senior Finance Business Analyst with over 8 years experience and preferably from a big4 background. You will be responsible for defining to-be Finance processes aligned to best practice, to deliver the most efficient and effective processes and solutions to resolve complex problems and projects.

Description

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for defining to-be Finance processes aligned to best practice, to deliver the most efficient and effective processes and solutions to resolve complex problems and projects. You must be available for an immediate start.

You will work closely with the Order to Cash/Finance Lead to design the end state system landscape ensuring high level requirements can be met. In addition, you will ensure all Finance requirements are configured and deployed into the new ERP and other legacy systems to deliver the new to be designed processes.

You will be responsible for process design in your area.

You’ll need to be solution focused, be full of initiative and have excellent stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills.

What You Will Do

  • Define and agree the Finance Process Framework / Taxonomy
  • Working in an Agile environment leading cross-functional teams to produce design deliverables such as user stories and working with stakeholders to clarify business requirements and agree aspects of functional design
  • Approval of all changes
  • Facilitating the review of deliverables with stakeholders, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Supporting the build and test teams to assist traceability of the design to build and test artefacts
  • Input into release planning sessions to support development of the product roadmap
  • Working closely with the Transformation Process Lead and Product Owners to regularly review the product backlog by adding, prioritising, and/or removing feature-level user stories
  • Perform detailed story analysis to determine user acceptance and to understand the impact to other systems, projects, domains, and operational teams
  • Participate in daily scrum meetings and coordinate with the product/process owner to review progress at the end of each iteration and educate end-users and processors regarding new enhancements
  • Arranging show and tell sessions to ensure development is in line with user expectations
  • Review and approve test plans and test cases
  • Develop training documentation and deliver end user training
  • Identify and agree internal and external process interfaces
  • Ability to produce high quality written documentation for all end deliverables
  • Support with various projects within the workstream, including Collections Re-design and At Risk Process Re-design
  • Report to Order to Cash/Finance Lead

Profile

A successful Senior Finance Business Analyst should have:

  • A minimum 8 years’ experience, with deep understanding of integrated processes with functional areas, ideally in a Big 4 (or similar) consulting environment
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
  • Operational finance and functional acumen and experience
  • Proven business transformation experience within complex large-scale programs
  • Integrated system process design and testing experience
  • Project management skills / experience
  • Change management skills / experience

  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation), including the ability to listen effectively

Job Offer

  • Daily Rate: Outside IR35 (Attractive)
  • 12 month contract – must be available to start asap
  • Hybrid ( 2 days a month essential Wednesdays and Thursdays)
  • Midlands based
