Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our Children`s Services team. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting. You will lead a team of support workers, ensuring the delivery of person-centred care, promoting the well-being of residents, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Team Leadership:**
– Provide leadership, guidance, and support to a team of residential support workers.
– Conduct regular team meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
– Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes professional development and continuous improvement.

2. **Person-Centered Care:**
– Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each resident.
– Ensure that all support workers follow best practices in delivering person-centered care, promoting independence and empowerment.

3. **Assessment and Planning:**
– Conduct assessments of new residents, working closely with other professionals to gather relevant information.
– Develop and review care plans, making adjustments as needed based on residents` evolving needs.

4. **Safety and Well-being:**
– Maintain a safe and secure environment, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
– Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of residents, taking appropriate action to address any concerns.

5. **Collaboration:**
– Collaborate with external agencies, families, and professionals involved in the care of residents.
– Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, sharing insights and contributing to the overall care strategy.

6. **Documentation:**
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily logs, incident reports, and resident records.
– Ensure that all documentation complies with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

7. **Training and Development:**
– Facilitate training sessions for support workers, ensuring ongoing professional development and compliance with relevant regulations.
– Stay informed about current best practices and emerging trends in residential child care.

Qualifications and Skills:
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in a residential child care setting.
– Relevant qualification in social work, childcare, or a related field.
– Strong leadership and team management skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
– Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing children`s services.
