Our client is an award-winning consumer brand with their global headquarters in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an exciting role working with one of the worlds most loved and trusted brands to plan and deliver the strategy and category plans. The role is a 12 month contract.
Role responsibilities:
- Define and own the strategic direction for assigned categories, driving commercial agendas to meet targets.
- Lead the development of 4p action plans ensuring rigorous execution and timely delivery.
- Develop compelling category strategies based on regional insights and data analysis to fuel growth.
- Monitor and analyse category performance, making data driven adjustments to optimise results.
- Drive innovation through NPD initiatives and support product teams throughout the launch process.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to enhance organise sales through impactful activation plans.
- Report on performance every month versus key competitors where applicable: share/sell in/sell out/margin contribution. If performance is tracking behind AOP the growth plans will need to be adapted accordingly.
Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in insights, data platforms, Microsoft excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn insights into actionable plans.
- Deep understanding of the marketing mix (4P) and itβs role in driving ROS
- Leadership experience with a proven track record of motivating teams and driving results.
- Excellent influencing skills and the ability to foster alignment across cross functional teams.
- Curious, analytical and proactive mindset with a passion for driving growth.
- Resilient and determined attitude with a drive to succeed and overcome obstacles.
