The Trust is about to embark on the implementation of its new Electronic Patient Record (EPR). This challenging programme is the largest clinical system transformation programme the Trust has undertaken and is key to the Trust’s Strategy and aims to fundamentally transform ways of working.
To support the frontline Digitisation Programme in delivering business change and champion change required for a successful completion.
Reporting to the eCare Programme Director, the role will support the timely and comprehensive mapping of existing clinical pathways, allocation of their re-design to EPR modules of work, and the design of new pathways that take advantage of the transformation opportunities provided by the introduction of the solution and complement of supporting solutions.
The Senior Business Analyst will lead the application of best practice transformation principles to nurture staff willingness and ableness to adopt new ways of working.
Essentials/Desirable:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
- A proven track record of extensive senior management experience preferably in the NHS.
- Significant experience in delivery and evidencing programme management (deemed to be Masters level.)
- Experience of business planning and preparation of business cases
- Experience of being responsible for the interpretation, development and implementation of policies to deliver high quality services across the whole organisation.
- Extensive experience of change management and highly developed knowledge of practice development and service development across a range of services and systems.
- Experience in the delivery of a digital Transformation project/ programme.
Duties
- Support the delivery of the programme activities to discover existing pathways of care, understand the capabilities of the EPR solution.
- Design and assure transformed pathways of care and support the ability and willingness of stakeholders to adopt the new ways of working.
- Support enduring professional and effective relationships with third party providers.
- Support the delivery of packages of work within the agreed time.
- Support system adoption and benefits realisation, including dress rehearsals, classroom simulation, floor walking and optimisation during and post go-live.
- Support the new ways of working compliance with the DCB0160 Clinical Safety Standards.
- Utilise significant experience in past delivery of programme management to design, lead and sustain a new programme of transformational change.
- Plan and lead a range of complex activities to deliver large scale change, taking in to account, uncertainties may impact upon the strategic direction of the programme.
- Oversee the process mapping of existing pathways and make improvements to ensure they align with the new EPR system.
- Identify and document benefits that will be realised during and after change implementation.
- Utilise advanced IT skills to assure delivery of the programmes and write progress reports and formal presentations for stakeholders as required (including external stakeholders).
- Deal with complex situations and analyse and report on highly complex data as required.
- Provide in depth analysis of highly complex information in order to identify opportunities for transformational change.
- Measure benefits realisation following change completion and complete complex audits to verify outcome-based results.
- Monitor and manage financial budgets and resources.
- Co-ordinate procurement and deliver excellent financial management of the programmes.
- Design, develop and deliver training programmes to teach staff digital transformation skills and techniques.
