Impression Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading Harrogate based professional services firm offering accountancy, tax and business advisory services to a range of clients across the UK. They are known for being experts in their field and due to growth are now looking to recruit a Senior Accountant/Auditor to join their team in Harrogate. As Senior Accountant/Auditor your duties will include:
* Leading audits including liaising with clients on-site to complete the work
* Preparing accounts on behalf of clients across the portfolio.
* Inputting draft accounts onto the internal system.
* Bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, reconciling creditors.
* Reconciliation of PAYE and VAT.
* Processing and inputting VAT figures.
* Assisting in the preparation of year-end financial statements to clients.
* Assisting staff with any ad-hoc accounting projects as required.
* Helping to train/advise junior members of staff as required
Skills required:
* Previous experience of working within an accounting role within practice or industry.
* Excellent levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
* Quality organisational skills.
* Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
* AAT/ACA/ACCA qualifications.
* Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff
* Ability to work both independently and part of a team
In return the Senior Accountant/Auditor will receive a salary of between £40,000 – £50,000 per annum and will be working for one of the top firms in Harrogate. Working hours are Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm with one hour for lunch. You will be working in smart, modern and professional offices with onsite parking and close to Harrogate centre.
