Tradewind are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a Large Primary School who are opening a SEN provision. The role is full time to start ASAP on a long-term basis until the end of the academic year, and will most likely become permanent for the right candidate.
This vibrant and diverse Primary School in Islington is an Outstanding Ofsted rated school which caters for students with EHCP’s including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and complex learning difficulties, who have experienced difficulties in mainstream classroom. These pupils are lovely to work with but can sometimes display anxiety and will sometimes need to have time out of the main classroom.
The school also have excellent resources and a really supportive and tight knit team who work together to provide a warm, nurturing learning environment.
You will need to be adaptable to pupils’ changing needs and will work with various pupils depending on the needs of the day, this offers constant variation throughout the week ensuring a stimulating environment. Team work is essential, therefore the school has harnessed a close knit family feel which provides you with support and a real sense of achievement on a weekly basis.
The school in Islington, North London, is easily accessible by various tube stations on the Jubilee Line and overground, they also have ample parking available.
