Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Executive to join our team based in Nottingham. As a Sales Executive, you will play a crucial role in generating new business opportunities within the transportation industry. This position involves cold calling businesses to secure meetings for our Business Development Managers (BDMs), who will then finalize the deals. While direct industry experience is not required, a positive attitude, along with proven sales and cold calling experience, is essential. Some warm leads will be provided to support your efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize provided data to conduct outbound cold calls to prospective clients within the transportation industry.
- Identify decision-makers and build rapport to secure appointments for BDMs to present our engineering products.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress using our CRM system.
- Collaborate closely with BDMs to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads for further follow-up.
- Continuously develop and refine your sales pitch and techniques to improve effectiveness.
- Achieve weekly targets for securing meetings with potential clients.
- Provide regular feedback to the sales team regarding market trends and client needs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Strong cold calling abilities and a resilient attitude towards rejection.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Familiarity with CRM software for lead management and reporting.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members.
- Adaptability to learn about engineering products and the transportation industry.
- Must have a can-do attitude and a willingness to take initiative.
