Residential Support Worker – Team Leader

Our client is currently looking for a permanent new Team Leader to be based in Welshpool on a full-time basis.
Our client is looking for someone to contribute to providing and maintaining a high-quality therapeutic community residential service for young people. You will ensure that support is given to the young people within the service and so understanding the needs of looked after children is important. You will also be working closely with the young people within the service and ensuring that their safety and security is always upheld.

As a Team Leader your duties will include:

* Being involved in the direct delivery of services to the young people in accordance with the aims of our client.
* To complete mandatory and regulatory training as required by and provided by the organisation
* To understand and promote our clients’ policies in relation to care and control, child protection, open access to records and equal opportunities.
* To offer ideas & organise stimulating activities and new experiences to enable poorly motivated young people to achieve
* To be responsible for the management of your identified group.
* To supervise the Link-working case responsibility for your Group
* To be responsible for co-ordinating shifts or delegating this task to a suitably graded individual.
* To manage, support and supervise staff ensuring their effective development and operation of good working practice
* Any other duties delegated by the Care Manager and senior staff. This is likely to include specific responsibility for delegated tasks.

About You:

* QCF Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People or Residential Childcare.
* You will have good verbal and written communication and be comfortable and confident in communicating with others, this could include professionals in other departments to yourself.
* You will also be someone who actively listens to others and is aware of what body language and behaviours can indicate.

Salary: £32,117 – 34,269 (Full time Permanent)
