Market leading Insurer and Reinsurer is looking for Reinsurance Asset Handler to join their Reinsurance Asset Management Team.
The Reinsurance Asset Management team are responsible for all post-bind operational aspects of outwards reinsurance. This includes treaty set up, recoveries, cash allocation, credit control, reporting, broker communications and reconciliations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a cash & payments role in a credit control team working in outwards reinsurance. So, if you like all things cash related this role could be for you.
This is a Fixed Term Contract (12 Months) hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from the company’s London office.
Specific Responsibilities will include:
- Reconciliation of broker statements and internal contracts to the ledger
- Accurately post and allocate daily cash, using in house systems and Microsoft Excel
- Reconciliation of internal data for monthly reporting
- Build relationships with internal departments
- Contribute to instructions and procedure manuals on tasks undertaken
- Making payments using internal system
- Attend and contribute to regular scheduled team meetings
- Support the cash team with month/quarter end deadline requirements
Skills and Experience Required:
- Good working knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience in use of LORS, ELGAR, GENIUS, IRIS (preferred)
- A team player with good communication skills and helpful attitude
- High numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
