As part of our Global Regulatory Affairs team, our Specialist, EMEA Regulatory Affairs, will be  responsible for food supplement/fortified food registrations, notifications, product marketing regulatory guidance, regulatory landscape reviews, and guidance for Distributor Regulatory Compliance. The position directly reports to Senior Manager, Global Regulatory Affairs.

Responsibilities

  • Support direct reporting line and the Product Development team with the review of proposed new raw materials, formulations for existing products and new products:
    • Existing products – as ingredients improve / change over time
    • New products – to ensure efficient launch execution in all possible countries
  • Oversee the submission and maintenance of food supplement and fortified food notifications/registrations by
    • Communicating directly to Health Authorities or via consultants in a timely and efficient manner
    • Ensuring that registrations/notifications are supported appropriately, are of quality and are filed in accordance with agreed upon business timelines
  • Support Marketing team with the review of product related content (health claims, nutritional claims, etc.)
  • Keep up to date with the changes affecting the regulatory environment and inform the impact of those changes to the direct reporting line
  • Pursue productive and collaborative working relationships directly with Food Authorities (EFSA, any local)
  • Carry out all other tasks as assigned by Management

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in the EMEA regulatory environment in a similar role
  • Proven solid experience within the  Food Supplements industry (essential)
  • Experienced in overseeing the submission and maintenance of food supplement and fortified EU food notifications/registrations (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field
  • Fluent in English, with fluency in a 2nd European Language a distinct advantage
