In order to thrive as one of the R&D Relief team members within Grantify, you will have the following skills, experience and personality traits:
- Thorough understanding of R&D Tax Credit sector and legislation.
- Experience in managing and training a team and helping them excel.
- Confident and friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills.
- Inquisitive nature, adept at asking open-ended questions.
- Quick learner with strong relationship-building abilities.
- Adherence to deadlines, self-sufficiency, and ability to work independently.
- Accountancy experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
As the R&D Tax Credits Lead, your role will include the below key responsibilities and duties:
- Lead engagement teams, develop robust claim methodologies, manage client engagement, mitigate risks, and oversee technical and costing aspects.
- Work with client and tax/financial teams to prepare and submit R&D Tax relief claims.
- Review documentation supporting R&D Tax relief claims, including technical descriptions and complex calculations.
- Handle HMRC queries regarding R&D Tax relief claims.
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships.
- Contribute to team leadership, recruitment, mentoring, and training.
- Lead business development initiatives, identify new opportunities, and pitch for work with new and existing clients, potentially internationally.
