We are looking to recruit a Product Test Engineer for our client, a well known electronics business with a positive and welcoming culture and a well-deserved reputation as an employer of choice. The Product Test Engineer will perform, diagnose and test a range of electrical and electronic goods down to component level. The ideal candidate will be practically minded with previous experience in a shop floor based bench electronics focused role.

Electronics Engineer – Role and Responsibilities – Product Test Engineer, Test, Fault Finding, Diagnostics, Consumer Goods, White Goods, Electronics Engineer

– Provide specialised technical assistance to the Product department, including testing and repairing existing and newly planned products
– Liaise with all internal departments, in particular: Contact Centre, Returns, Product and Stores in relation to customer orders
– Test and repair customer orders (all manner of electronic goods) ensuring that the customer is kept informed at all times
– Investigation and reporting on product issues, getting to root cause of problem

– Excellent communicator with good spoken English and interpersonal skills
– Ability to be flexible and adapt to quickly changing priorities
– Recognised qualification within electrical or electronic engineering (or equivalent) preferred (C&G, HNC, etc)
– Ability to diagnose and test to component level on a wide variety of electronic equipment (audio, video, IT, etc)
