Procurement Manager – Sourcing & Supplier Management
The Opportunity
QBE Europe is looking to recruit a Procurement Manager to join a well established and successful procurement team in our London office. As part of a fast-paced team, this role will lead sourcing, supplier management and procurement activities for assigned initiatives in the region and is responsible for assisting in the identification, qualification, development, and negotiation of Technology Services sourcing initiatives which deliver predictable and sustainable value to QBE.
Your New Role

Drive the identification qualification and execution of sourcing opportunities for the European business based on value/risk/strategic positioning.

Manage events to maximize savings, minimize risk and maximize the quality of service delivered from suppliers.

Lead the development of RFI and RFP documentation to support market engagement for services.

Determine own work priorities and activities in line with agreed plans to ensure the achievement of personal and team objectives.

Develop standards and controls and establish guidelines for contracts and purchase quotes, to ensure consistent evaluation of suppliers, supplier quality and relevance to requirements.

Working with the rest of the IT Procurement team, undertake workflows and processes to source services, software and hardware in a consistent manner to maximize cost efficiencies while leading to an effective long term strategic supplier relationship.

Ensure commercial value is delivered in all areas with clear relevance to business requirements.

Influence and role model procurement best practice within and across the procurement department to ensure best in class efficiencies.

Business partner effectively on overall technology requirements to deliver required business outcomes from across the IT Supplier base.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with executive and senior stakeholders both internally and with strategic partners to facilitate the delivery of business goals.

Where required, ensure 3rd Party Risk, IT Supplier Risk and other relevant Minimum Standards are embedded in all sourcing activities performed.

Own and deliver against key procurement metrics as they related to the European procurement targets, including financial value, risk management and service delivery.

Leverage market insight and knowledge to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.

Actively coaches and develop more junior/less experienced team members to assist in the achievement of their objectives.
About You

Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.

Stakeholder Management and ability to interact at all levels of the organisation.

Excellent organizational skills, ideally with project management experience.

Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a complex environment.

Ability to work in team as well as independently.

Ability to manage multiple activities at once and resolve issues under time constraint.

Experience of contract negotiation, interpretation, and ongoing delivery of contractual obligations.

Proven experience of successfully negotiating complex IT service agreements.

Proven track record of significant cost savings through effective implementation of sourcing agreements and supplier management.

Experience with onshore and offshore managed service contracts.
