Reporting directly into the Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for implementing and developing sourcing strategies across a complex portfolio of commodities.
You will ensure that the sourcing strategy is aligned with the parent companies\’ procurement strategy across all areas of responsibility.
Utilising your strategic procurement experience, you will identify cost savings by developing relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders within the business.
Responsible for the measurement and reporting of all key supplier metrics and KPI’s across the portfolio of commodities.
Builds and maintains information on supply market and key suppliers. Provides market trends and cost analysis/modelling to internal networks to improve long term cost position, drive best practices and ensure reliable supply.
What you\’ll need to succeed
4-5 years relevant experience working in a procurement role within Defence, Aerospace or Land Systems.
Ability to read technical drawings.
Impressive track record of cost savings within a manufacturing environment.
Significant experience of using and developing the use of SAP or other MRP systems.
Proficient within MS Excel.
Experienced of dealing with complex contracts.
Strong stakeholder management/negotiation skills.
Flexible attitude, team worker and ability to work under own initiative.
