Position Overview:
As a Pre-Construction Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client’s robust pre-construction team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful coordination and management of design development, with a focus on buildability and logistic planning for project delivery. You will work closely with design teams, providing invaluable input during the tender stage and ensuring a smooth transition to the construction phase.
Key Responsibilities:
Create construction project schedules using Powerproject (Asta).
Chair design development meetings, ensuring alignment with design briefs.
Lead the project development process from tender to on-site commencement.
Supervise procurement processes for preferred contractors and suppliers.
Identify value engineering opportunities and collaborate with estimating and commercial teams.
Collaborate with architects, local authorities, and utilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages with strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both independently and within a team.
Possess a clean driving license and willingness to travel throughout the operating area.
Solid understanding of construction techniques, design standards, and Building Regulations.
Proactive problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments.
This role demands individuals with a knack for efficiency, adaptability, and adept problem-solving skills.
You will oversee project teams, ensuring seamless project delivery, requiring you to exhibit exceptional organization, proactivity, and dedication to meeting project timelines. Experience in guiding design teams through diverse design phases, while keeping a keen eye on project feasibility, is highly prized.
