VIQU are seeking a Portfolio Manager to join a diverse global industrial engineering company focusing on cutting-edge technologies in steam management, electric thermal innovations, peristaltic pumping, and fluid pathway advancements. Operating across the globe, their tailor-made services cater to a range of sectors such as Biotechnology, Food & Beverage and Pharmaceutical. They are committed to sustainability and their innovative approach drives their delivery of energy and water savings, reduced emissions, and improved process efficiency.
This pivotal role is at the forefront of establishing a new PMO function, overseeing multiple critical projects for successful delivery. The successful candidate will be an experienced Portfolio Manager seeking autonomy. The responsibilities include shaping an accurate demand management pipeline, implementing a PPM tool, conducting quarterly reviews, optimising a global resource model, ensuring common practices, and upholding PMO compliance. You will be accountable to lead team management efforts, ensuring seamless day-to-day portfolio delivery and efficient first-line escalation resolution, focusing on operational excellence and compliance within the portfolio.
Responsibilities of the Portfolio Manager:
– Drive the successful delivery of the IS and Digital Portfolio, aligning with strategic and business demands.
– Ensure effective resource management, benefits realization, investment case management, dependency, and risk management.
– Oversee the 3–5-year forecast delivery plan and related change budget.
– Manage day-to-day operational processes and conduct regular monthly/quarterly reviews.
– Maintain and enhance the PMO Framework and playbook, focusing on continuous improvement.
– Lead the global resource on-demand model to optimize efficiency.
– Conduct PMO compliance checks and in-depth project analyses as required.
– Produce high-quality portfolio reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews.
– Manage a global testing on-demand service efficiently.
– Address and resolve first-line escalations across the portfolio, ensuring smooth operations.
Essential Experience of the Portfolio Manager:
– Demonstrated success in Portfolio Management, PMO Management, Programme Management, or Resource Management within a prominent enterprise-level global organisation.
– Previous roles within Manufacturing, Engineering, or Technology sectors.
– Possession of relevant qualifications such as MoP, APMG, or PMI.
– Exceptional stakeholder management skills with a talent for building influential relationships.
– Proficient in Dynamics 365 with a solid understanding of its applications.
– Skilled in people management, ensuring effective team performance.
– Highly organized with a strong ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
