The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic large-scale operation in the financial services industry. You will be working in a high quality finance & payroll department with focus on supporting new & existing customers.
Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Dealing with new & existing customers queries in relation to payroll & pension matters
- To process, manage and maintain the monthly payroll ensuring all necessary documents and changes made are processed accurately in compliance with legislation and internal audit requirements.
- Validation of invoices to source data systems to ensure correct days worked and rates charged and ensuring identification and reports of discrepancies therein.
- Carry out all daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations to ensure financial control processes are adhered to.
Experience & Skills Required
- Proven experience working in a finance function that processes high volumes of invoice requests.
- The candidate will require the following skills:
- You should have a good understanding of UK PAYE legislation and a good understanding of how to calculate deductions such overpayments, maternity, sickness payments, Tax and NI
- Experience of handling a daily defined workload to the required standard and ensuring daily processing deadlines are met.
- Proven experience of showing attention to detail and proactive to resolve invoice discrepancies detected including but not exclusively to chasing up approvals and credit memos/notes where required.
- Have strong numerical and communication skills and accustomed to dealing with internal and external parties via various communication medium.
- Proven strengths in integrating as part of a specific team supporting other team members and working collaboratively towards common goals whilst appreciating the contribution to the wider organisation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and prioritise tasks.
- Confidence to escalate issues to management.
