Position: Pastoral Lead

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the school’s pastoral care system, ensuring the well-being and welfare of students are prioritized.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to promote positive behavior management and foster supportive relationships within the school community.
- Provide guidance and support to students facing personal, social, or emotional challenges, liaising with external agencies when necessary.
- Manage and mentor a team of pastoral staff, providing direction, support, and training to enhance their effectiveness.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and external stakeholders to create a cohesive and inclusive school environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a pastoral or student support role within a secondary school setting.
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards shared objectives.
- Genuine passion for supporting the well-being and personal development of young people.
