We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Office Manager to join an established manufacturing organisation in Birmingham. This is perfect for somebody who enjoys a hands-on and varied role, likes to support with multiple projects as well as day to day guidance of a small team.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Office Management, Weekly office meetings, appraise all staff and actively encourage their personal development and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ensure that the UK office is suitably staffed, trained and equipped to meet the administrative needs of the business.
  • Ordering stock and processing sales orders
  • Regular communication with internal Warehouse & Production teams to ensure customer satisfaction and order fulfilment
  • China Liaison – communicate with the Chinese office to ensure that all relevant administrative tasks are taking place for the efficient running of the business as well as attending regular conference calls
  • Operational Excellence – ensure that the company maintains best working practices and all standards are being met or surpassed for ISO, Health & Safety, employment legislation
  • Support with various business projects – providing relevant coordination and administrative documentation to support with Key Clients, new IT system integration etc .
  • Producing various reports

About you?

  • Experience in an Office Management/ Office Supervisory hands on role within the manufacturing industry
  • Line Management experience of a small team is essential
  • Able to conduct appraisals, 121’s and provide guidance and support
  • Confident communicator, comfortable with speaking to internal and external stakeholders
  • Payroll experience and understanding (desirable)
  • SAGE (desirable)
  • Knowledge of ISO accreditation and quality standards (desirable)
  • IT literate on all MS applications

The Role

  • Salary Circa £34,000 – £36,000 depending on experience
  • Parking On-site
  • 8.00am – 16:30pm Mon – Friday
  • 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays (includes Christmas Shutdown)
