Key Accountabilities
- Assist Switchgear Applications Engineers with project specific mechanical designs. This may include, but not be limited to :- Transformer enclosures, arc-duct, bus-duct connections, electro-mechanical layouts, termination enclosures, non-standard cubicle / tier assemblies etc…..
- Assist Switchgear Application Engineers with the production of sub-supplier material requisitions for processing by others. This may be linked to the above mechanical designs e.g. power transformers, bus-duct etc……
- Assist Switchgear Application Engineers with the creation and maintenance of project specific standard designs.
- Assist Switchgear Application Engineers with the creation and maintenance of standard device inserter libraries.
- Liaison with the client on certain technical matters relating to the purchase order, with support by the Switchgear Applications Engineers.
- Liaison with other internal departments, as required, to assist the Switchgear Applications Engineers in ensuring that the requirements of the purchase order are met.
- Ensuring departmental performance to a standard which satisfies internal and external customer requirements
Employment, Educational and Professional Background
Skilled in AutoCAD and Inventor
ONC Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, or comparable qualification, preferable
Ideally experience within a Control Panel/Switchgear environment.
