A global consultancy business is looking to hire an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant to join its finance function.
You will carry out the accounting for 2-3 of their UK/EMEA business units, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of results in line with local GAAP for statutory reporting and US GAAP for group reporting.
Duties include:
- Responsible for the accounting function including financial reporting, quarterly reporting and month end close process for 2- 3 of our UK or EMEA entities
- Preparation & posting of journal entries
- Preparation of accruals and prepayments
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting / financial statements
- Occasional posting of invoices
- Ensures the accurate and timely closing and reporting of financial results in compliance with statutory requirements (including US GAAP reconciliation)
- Liaison with payroll and HR team closely for monthly payroll review
- Liaison with internal and external audit including preparation of "prepared by client" schedules and implements recommended procedural improvements.
- Preparation of Statutory accounts under UK GAAP.
- Preparation of monthly variance analysis and commentaries, liaising with the FP&A department to confirm these are in line with their forecasts.
- Ensures adherence to internal controls (including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements)
- Liaising with local tax and accounts advisors
- Ad hoc projects
You will be ACA/ACCA qualified either looking for your first move from practice or doing a similar accounting role in industry.
