The role is an exciting and variable role providing essential support to both operations and tech across this division and the wider finance department. You will be instrumental in supporting resilient controls, processes and reporting to improve insight into a rapidly evolving function.
This role is a mixture of a Management Accountant & FP&A role that has some weekly and monthly reporting requirements, but also has a focus on analysing capital spending and its ROI as they expand at pace.
We are looking for a Qualified Accountant and somebody comfortable working for a large corporate business with a varied skillset and desire to move into an FP&A role with development and progression opportunities for them.
You will ideally have had involvement in projects, built relationships successfully with senior management and be comfortable in a complex and fast-paced environment. You will have a strong finance background with good analysis skills, including monthly performance and returns on capital investment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting on analysis and reporting for key areas of P&L and Capex e.g electricity billing and supplier overspends
- Producing standard weekly reporting and analysis of performance
- Capex reconciliation and Analysis for all projects
- Manage, create and post month end journals when accounting for P&L and Capex
- Balance sheet review to ensure all balances are fully supported
- Drive process improvement, efficiency, automation as appropriate.
- Undertake investigative works required by the Senior Finance Business Partner
- Build strong internal relationships, notably with the field teams, alongside other finance teams
- Gain/maintain working knowledge of operational systems used by sites and head office.
- Administration of terminal set up and supporting new site openings.
- Support transaction processing teams with queries/processes
