Our client, a reputable bank headquartered in Korea is looking to hire a Loan Officer (Korean Speaking) to work in their London branch.
Position: Loan Officer (Korean Speaking)
Job Overview:
- An officer responsible for the assistant function of the Bank’s loan business
- The post holder is also expected to prepare various statistical reports requested for supervisory purposes from Korea including the Parent Bank
Principal Responsibilities:
- Support Senior Managers for all aspects of the Bank’s loan book.
- Should conduct all duties following the Bank’s internal regulations such as "BRPPS".
- Support loan approvals
- Collect KYC documents and perform KYC due diligence for new counterparties.
- Collect the credit information of clients.
- Check the current credit exposure to the borrower and/or guarantors of a new transaction.
- Support Signing loan agreements.
- Reviewing the draft agreement and other finance documents.
- Collect and file original documents relating to loan agreements.
- Support disbursements.
- Collect and review documents relating to disbursements.
- Create and maintain transaction files on ABIS system.
- Conduct post-loan management.
- Renew KYC periodically for existing counterparties.
- Follow up on interest, principal, and/or fee payment dates and amounts.
- Make payment notices to borrowers in case of bilateral loans.
- Monitoring the credit status of borrowers/guarantors from time to time.
- Prepare an annual review of loan facilities.
- Prepare documents requested by internal or external auditors with regard to loan business
- Prepare Korean regulatory and statistical reports for FSS and the Parent Bank.
- Perform all other duties as may be reasonably requested by the line manager relating to loan business.
