Position Overview:
We are currently recruiting a passionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join this esteemed primary school’s dedicated team. This role will involve working within the school’s resourced provision, supporting children with a range of additional needs to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN) within the resourced provision, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies, ensuring each child’s unique needs are met.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the holistic development of every student.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to share insights and best practices, contributing to the overall success of the provision.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, participating in regular reviews and evaluations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, ideally within a school setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students’ learning and development, with a compassionate and patient approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
  • Flexibility and resilience in the face of challenges, committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are advantageous but not essential.
