Food Preparation and Nutrition forms part of the Engineering and Performance Faculties and works very closely with the Music, Drama and Art subject areas. We are proud of the amazing results that Food Preparation and Nutrition achieves at GCSE, where it is a popular choice currently with two GCSE groups in both Year 10 and Year 11. The Food Department benefits from a high quality teaching space and a supportive full-time Food Technician. We also run a popular SDL programme for KS3 students who greatly enjoy cooking outside of the curriculum. Trips and visits are actively encouraged at the Academy and Food trips thus far have included visiting Borough Market.
