We are supporting a defence engineering company, leading designer and manufacturer of military vehicles, as they seek a Lead Planning Engineer for their military vehicle business unit.
The team are based at sites in Telford, Gateshead and Bristol and can consider suitably applicants at any of these sites on a Hybrid working arrangement, typically just 2 days/week on average in the office.
The role will hold responsibility for the overall planning activity on an armoured vehicle programme. You will become a key part of the engineering team, leading and executing your own technical area to enable the successful delivery of the programme.
Salary available is up to £55,000 dependant on experience plus excellent benefits and a 4 ½ day working week.
Key Responsibilities including:
Provide leadership and guidance to planners on the programme
Provide support to PCM monthly review cycle as planning SME
Key involvement in programme planning governance cycle
Previous experience as a Lead or Manager is preferred but not essential. Industry experience can also be broad across engineering, manufacturing or similar.
You will have proven experience in planning and integration of various internal & external schedules into a master schedule.
Advanced level proficiency of MS Project and broad experience in a complex project environment, a PMO or other project reporting environment.
