LEOC covers a hugely diverse portfolio of Land Equipment projects including Armoured Fighting Vehicles, Main Battle Tanks, Artillery Fires Systems and Multi Launch Rocket Systems.

You will have the opportunity to benefit from our training onsite, where you will have exposure to our more senior Engineers to upskill and develop you, whilst visiting other UK sites to witness trials for our land equipment.

Due to the nature of security requirements, this role is open to sole UK nationals only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and/or safety engineering support to some of our most technically complex platforms
  • Collect, collate and evaluate technical data from trials witnessed, and/or technical publications, standards and Learning From Experience
  • Draft recommendations in relation to your technical area of knowledge
  • Provide support in the development, acceptance and/or support of engineering requirements
  • Liaise with a variety of stakeholders including the end user to ensure we are providing the best and safest possible product to meet the requirement

Person specification

To be successful with your application, you’ll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:

  • You will hold a minimum of a HNC qualification (e.g., Level 4) in an Engineering discipline, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience
  • You will have experience of applying your knowledge and skills within an engineering field

In addition to the responsibilities above, the following technical competences and behaviours will be assessed at interview:

  • Technical Risk Management (Awareness)
  • Technical Requirements, Evaluation & Acceptance (Supervised Practitioner)
  • Working together
  • Communicating and influencing
