The Opportunity:

Are you our next Incident Operations Manager? We are looking for someone who can help us redefine what’s possible for our Stable Operation.

One of Stable Ops key aims is ‘Operating a stable and safe airport‘, they achieve this by living their mission to ‘PREVENT. PREPARE, RESPOND and RECOVER‘ enabling the passenger journey through the airport to be safe and efficient and that the planes take off on time.?

What is the role?

As an Incident Operations Manager you will be pivotal in delivering the best daily operational plan and positive passenger experience for those travelling through the airport. You will proactively seek opportunities to improve incident management through contingency planning and being the focal point for owning and leading incident management to a positive resolution during times of disruption.

The Incident Operations Manager will also have overall responsibility for day-to-day operations as well as looking at future predictive planning.

 What will you do?

  • Working cross functionally to deliver an integrated and planned operation.
  • Situational leadership throughout the business to effectively prepare, prevent, respond and recover from events or incidents.
  • Optimising operational key performance indicators, to minimise disruption and execute the delivery of the daily operational plan.
  • Ownership of incident management, utilising appropriate contingency plans and adopting a plan, do, review approach.
  • Owning stakeholder relationships, delivering excellent experience efficiently recovering operations.
  • Continuously reviewing and inputting into contingency planning
  • Influencing and leading a culture of continuous improvement to ensure opportunities for improvement are identified.
  • Accountability for the day-to-day airport operation, and key drivers to ensure operational excellence.
  • Delivering a cost-effective operational model, whilst maintaining the safety and security of staff and passengers

  Do you have what we’re looking for?

  • Ability to build strong and successful stakeholder relationships.
  • Able to interpret data to predict and drive improved ways of working.
  • Ability to own the daily plan, identifying and preventing deviations to improve performance.  
  • Proven track-record of driving business change through detailed data analytics, critical thinking and innovative solutions
  • Experience in managing incident or crisis situations.
  • A thorough understanding of incident management decision making models and the UK 3 tier bronze, silver, gold approach to managing a crisis
  • Exceptional communication skills –able to disseminate information to a range of internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise way, both written and verbally
  • Strong influencer with the ability to influence others to share a combined outlook and drive an action plan forward to ensure the best possible outcome at any given time.
  • Personal resilience, able to manage stressful events and incidents while maintaining professionalism and core competencies throughout
  • Innovative, encouraging new ideas from self and others to help streamline processes and make the business more efficient and cost effective.
  • Adaptable with the ability to respond and react to changing circumstances and priorities within the operation and predict operational performance through in-depth analysis.
