Job Title: HR Officer
Location: London, Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm
Reports to: HR Manager
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000
Job Description: As an HR Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering a comprehensive HR service to the bank. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for various aspects of HR, including employee relations, recruitment, training and development, and policy implementation. Your meticulous approach and adherence to policies and legal requirements will contribute to the success of our HR function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle Employee Relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance cases.
- Assist with payroll matters when required.
- Support recruitment processes.
- Manage all aspects of training and development, including induction.
- Ensure effective probationary reviews and appraisals.
- Contribute to ad hoc HR-related projects.
- Update and create policies and procedures.
- Oversee the leavers process.
- Assist in day-to-day HR function operations.
- Participate in auditing and reporting activities.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and innovations.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and SMCR.
- Mentor HR Assistant.
Qualifications:
- A-Level (or equivalent) in Maths/English.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- CIPD qualified or working towards this.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail for producing accurate information.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
