Reed HR are working alongside a Not for Profit Organisation based in Central London who are recruiting for a HR, Office & Engagement Manager on a permanent basis. 

This role is hybrid so travel into the office is required. 

Job Summary

The HR & Office manager/supervisor will provide strong, reliable support for operations and HR by developing and implementing office policies by setting up procedures and standards to guide the operation of the office and maintaining employee safety. This person will also help us achieve organisational efficiency by nurturing a positive, inclusive work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Administration of all employee-related paperwork, such as employment contracts, new starter packs, or formal notices of termination.

• Leading the recruitment process, including selection and interviewing of candidates and providing orientation and training to new employees

• Overseeing staff attendance and absence monitoring.

• Conduct staff appraisals, manage performance and discipline staff

• Overseeing training and development of employees.

• Managing talent pools and succession plans to ensure the organisation can continue to operate in the future.

• Advise the organisation and its staff on relevant employment law, policies and procedures

• Providing detailed HR reports to senior management teams.

• Handling highly confidential information in an honest and trustworthy way.

• Collaborating with other senior staff in the organisation, sometimes internationally, to ensure the smooth running of the organisation from a people perspective.

• Partnering with senior staff to establish and roll-out people-related strategy.

• Review and update health and safety policies and ensure they are observed in a way that maintains the health, safety and welfare of all employees

• Provide advice, guidance and support on equality and diversity issues and ensure organisation’s policy on equality and diversity is working in practice.

• Respond to requests and questions about office operations

• Ensure the tenant/landlord relationship is maintained and operational obligations of the lease complied with

• Assist management to ensure the organisations is able to meets its HR and H&S obligations

• Ensure that results are measured against standards, while implementing necessary procedural improvements along the way

• Ensure that data protection laws are being adhered to in relation to the storage of data, and review and update policies

Person Specification 

  • Level 5 qualification (e.g., degree) or equivalent level experience.
  • Experience developing and implementing HR policy
  • Experience in developing internal systems
  • Experience in Employee engagement and office management
