- Reporting to the HR Manager, provide high quality support to managers and employees for all HR related matters, in accordance with current legislation and Company policies and procedures.
- Undertake specialist and general HR tasks a required and appropriate for the role.
Deputise and act for the HR Manager, as required
Description
- Provide an efficient and high-quality advisory service to managers and employees on a range of HR related matters.
- Assist the HR Manager in handling of employee relations cases across all areas of the business.
- Assist the HR Manager in managing absenteeism through absence management policy for both short- and long-term absence in line with HR objectives.
- Ensure consistency in application of HR policies and procedures by providing advice and support to management.
- Attend formal meetings as HR support and minute taker when the HR Administrator is unavailable.
- Working with the HR Administrator manage the companies recruitment process with the aim of improving quality of candidates and reducing agency recruitment fees.
- Support the HR Manager in the ongoing review of company HR policies in line with ISO9001 requirements.
- Support HR Manager in communication and engagement strategy.
- Lead and manage various HR projects as directed by the Human Resources Manager and in line with HR objectives.
- Creation and delivery of HR related management training and induction programmes.
- Support the annual appraisal process.
- Support in the implementation of HR annual tasks where required.
- Maintain up to date employment law knowledge.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time, to include deputising for the HR Manager as required.
Profile
- Experience in a similar role, with experience in management of complex casework
- Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills
- Good IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong initiative and judgement
- Discreet, reliable and trustworthy
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Approachable, professional and capable of communicating with people at all levels of the business
Desirable:
- Experience in an organisation of a similar size
- Experience of Linked In recruiter and Indeed platforms
Essential:
- Educated to degree level or an equivalent appropriate professional qualification.
Desirable:
- CIPD qualification
