We are looking for a Housing Officer to join our dedicated Supported Housing team. As a Housing Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals and families in supported housing accommodation.
Requirements
Outline of key responsibilities for the Housing Officer in Supported Housing…
- Conducting regular support sessions with tenants to assess their individual needs and provide appropriate advice and guidance
- Ensuring housing management services are delivered effectively for supported housing properties
- Liaising with external agencies and service providers to coordinate support services for tenants
- Supporting tenants in maintaining their tenancies, including rent collection, arrears management, and tenancy sustainment
- Managing caseloads of tenants, including accurate record-keeping and reporting
- Assisting with the allocation and lettings process for supported housing properties
- Promoting community engagement and social inclusion within supported housing schemes
- Carrying out property inspections and ensuring health and safety standards are met

- Experience working in a housing management or support role, preferably within supported housing
- Knowledge of relevant housing legislation and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to show empathy and work with individuals with complex needs
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle

- As part of hybrid working, you will be responsible for overseeing schemes in South Elmsall and Rotherham. Your typical week will involve three days spent working on-site, with the option to work from home for the remainder of the week.
