JOB DESCRIPTION: Health and Safety Advisor – Manufacturing
 
We are looking for two professional Health and Safety Advisors, one to cover our Manchester site and the other to cover Bolton, both roles report to the HSE Manager who splits their time across both sites. Whilst there are multiple shift patterns, this role is Monday to Friday, predominately 9 – 5.
 
You’ll play a vital role in delivering a proactive, safety-first culture. Quickly becoming the go-to person for the site, identifying areas for improvement and initiatives that are fully backed by the senior leadership team.  
 
Along with the Health & Safety Manager, you’ll lead HSE projects and initiatives to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget and play a role in internal and external audits to adhere to ISO 9001, 14001, 45,000, 50,001.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Health and Safety Advisor – Manufacturing
 
· Develop, introduce, and maintain HSE policies and procedures.
· Promote and maintain a proactive, safety-first culture.
· Conduct and control risk assessments and safety inspections.
· Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventative measures.
· Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures to reduce environmental impact.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Health and Safety Advisor – Manufacturing
 
To be successful in your application you’ll have a proven track record in HSE, and you will have worked in a variety of manufacturing environments. For your reference, this is a chemical site.  
 
You’ll also have:
· Knowledge of HSE regulations.
· Experience in winning the ‘hearts and minds’ to ensure that processes are followed and understood.
· Demonstrable knowledge of ISO standards 9001, 14001, 45001.
· Experience in implementing HSE policies and procedures.
· NEBOSH / ISOH Diploma or equivalent qualification in Health and Safety.
