Are you a senior Architect with experience leading a design team for a practice or for a design & build contractor? Have you specialised in delivering private residential projects for individual clients up to the value of £5m?
COMPANY PROFILE – Head of Architecture:
Our client launched over 10 years ago from their base in West London and they were formed on the basis of strong customer service, award winning design and professional project management. They offer an integrated design & build service which works alongside an in-house interior design team. Working in this environment, you will get full exposure to all aspects of design and construction, from the eye of a contractor.
DUTIES – Head of Architecture:
* Take full responsibility for design ideas, local authority approval and coordinating projects
* Run the architectural department, guide, advise and manage the team of Architects/Designers
* Audit design and identify inconsistencies and missing information
* Create a culture so the design team integrates and fuels the project and interiors services
* New client meetings, creating proposals and winning design work
* Take design lead on all projects, run meetings and propose ideas with risk & cost identified
* Assist project leads on construction details and review packages at all RIBA stages
* Carry out drawing reviews and ensure comments are added to design
* Invoicing – responsible for all invoices to be issued, tracked and settled
* Ensure design process adheres to building regs and minimises potential liability for future stages/delivery
* Manage the development and implementation of design proposals accounting for budget
* Identify design risk, create risk assessments and maintain for each project so risks are managed and mitigated
* Work with site teams to ensure delivery of overall project/design requirements during construction phase
EXPERIENCE PROFILE – Head of Architecture:
* Part III registered Senior Architect
* Extensive UK experience in high end residential projects across all RIBA stages
* Previous experience leading / managing an architectural design team
* Strong private residential planning background
* Proven track record in Architectural sales
* Client management, key adviser, relationship builder
* Bring design flare and personality to the team and challenges
* Thorough understanding of construction process – pre/tender/onsite and management
* IT Skills including – AutoCAD, Indesign, Sketch up and Excel
* Fluent English and confident in presenting to clients.
PACKAGE – Head of Architecture:
Salary Guide: £60-70,000
Access to pool car, pension, 23 days holiday, home working 1 day a week
