We have an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Qualified Financial Accountant ( ACCA / ACA) to join a lovely team within an award winning business with a national presence.
You’ll join a team of 11 based out of state of the art offices in Wilmslow, and your role will be centred around delivering the Group’s internal and external financial reporting obligations in an accurate and timely manner.
The key responsibilities will include the preparation of monthly consolidated accounts and cashflow forecasting alongside involvement in cyclical budgeting, forecasting, audit, tax and statutory compliance as well as other group matters.
First time movers from practice are welcome to apply, and the company is happy to offer further training and development to help with this transition if required.
Key responsibilities
* Prepare accounts for head office companies
* Produce monthly consolidated accounts and financial statements.
* Prepare spend analyses and cashflow projections and liaise with funders and external valuers.
* Carry out variance analysis against budget and forecast.
* Manage the group’s shared equity loan book.
* Produce weekly consolidated cashflow reports for the executive.
* Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are up to date and consistent across the group.
* Collaborate with regional finance teams and the wider business.
* Prepare budgets and forecasts for head office companies and group.
* Prepare subsidiary and consolidated statutory accounts and support with the audit.
* Preparation of tax packs and liaising with external tax consultants.
* Identify accounting challenges and prepare the group’s response.
* Continuously contribute to the enhancement of systems, controls and processes.
* Deputise for the group financial controller as needed.
Key Requirements
* Fully Qualified Accountant – ACA or ACCA preferred
* Intermediate Excel knowledge
* Technically competent and able to use their knowledge to assist the business.
* A desire to identify technological solutions to problems, such as amending ERP systems.
