Imperial London Family of Hotels may not be the most immediately recognisable hotel brand and yet it has a celebrated history as the owner of numerous hotels in Bloomsbury, London for over 185 years. Throughout this time, it has remained an independent and private business, and is currently under the Directorship of the 7th generation of the same family. Imperial London Hotels own and operate seven 3 & 4-star hotels near Russell Square underground station, including the UK’s largest hotel, The Royal National Hotel (over 1,600 rooms).

These are exciting times for Imperial London as it seeks to evolve and modernise all areas of the business whilst keeping its unique heritage and culture at its heart. The flagship Imperial Hotel is undergoing a major refurbishment and will open in early 2025 as a 4* Deluxe Hotel and a new jewel in the crown of the London’s hospitality offering. In May 2023, Imperial London unveiled a confident and contemporary new brand identity, laying the foundation for future business growth and success.

We are now recruiting for a talented graphic designer to join our friendly, expanding design studio where you will play a key role in contributing to creative ideas and bringing them to life.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and hone your design skills in a fast-paced, bustling hotel environment, which requires a flexible approach, as well as design flair and excellent attention to detail. As well as the opportunity to work on a varied range of projects, designing and reworking current marketing collateral for both print and digital channels. Working with our brand guidelines, you will also be responsible for creating high quality visual material to support marketing activities across the companies six hotels, and our various restaurants and bars.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating, updating and producing high-quality menus, point of sale and other promotional material that maintains our brand identity.
  • Working on assets for our F&B outlets including restaurants and bars.
  • Supporting the Digital Marketing team with various elements of content across our website, email, social channels, and paid display advertising.
  • Assisting and working collaboratively on the creation of design and production requirements needed by the business, including points of sale, exhibition graphics, recruitment advertising and corporate sales brochures.
  • Managing relationships with external suppliers including printers, ensuring all work is delivered timely and to exceptional standards.

What we’d like from you

  • Previous experience as a Graphic Designer, ideally if you have worked within the hospitality industry would be beneficial.
  • A key understanding of industry-standard software and design principles will allow you to use your creative skills to communicate with our guests across various touch points throughout the guest’s hotel experience.
  • Portfolio of great design work, with an eye for typography, colour, and layout.
  • Degree or equivalent degree in Graphic Design, a related field or proven equivalent experience within a similar professional role.
  • Strong creative, digital and technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Strong ability to work quickly whilst still ensuring accuracy and care still prevails.
