Investigo are excited to be working as an exclusive partner for a leading FMCG business as they begin the process of hiring a Divisional Financial Director.
Job Purpose:
As Divisional Finance Director you will work with the Divisional CEO, Group Finance Director, senior management teams, and with all internal and external stakeholders as necessary performing and executing a ‘strategic and financial partner’ role. To develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the sound financial management and control of the division’s business.
Key Accountabilities
- Contribute to the achievement of the business objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy;
- Responsible for working capital and treasury, include cash management and hedging foreign exchange exposure;
- Oversee all reporting processes, including managing the month end and year end process and the submission of timely financial reporting;
- Coordination and oversight of the annual budgeting cycle and quarterly reforecasts, for consolidation into the Group five year plan;
- Provision of detailed and timely analysis of company performance;
- Due diligence and appraisal of investments including grower loans and capital;
- Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the division;
- Carry out all necessary actions to ensure that the company meets its financial and legal obligations;
- Direct and manage the finance team to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and developed so that they carry out their responsibilities effectively
- Lead and champion change to drive continuous improvement within the finance and divisional function;
- Business partnering and application of financial information to all levels of management including Board of Directors;
- Working with external stakeholders to present accurate and true data;
- Working with the commercial trading managers to identify and achieve opportunities for maintaining and improving trading margins, be that with customers or suppliers;
- Responsible for planning, resource allocation, and forecasting on a long term and short term basis.

Qualifications/ Knowledge/ Skills & Experience
- Financial professional qualification
- Second language desirable (ideally Spanish) but not essential
- Minimum two years in a senior finance role
- Experience of the fruit or fresh produce industry is highly desirable or FMCG/Retail

- Flexible
- IT skills – highly proficient with Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook. Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is desirable.
