We are working exclusively with our Northampton based client. They are actively seeking an experienced Financial Controller to enhance their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement.
- Lead the budgeting process, including setting timelines, reviewing submissions, and consolidating company budgets.
- Forecast future financial performance and provide insights to management.
- Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow. Ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and strategic investments.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards specific to the construction industry. Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and implement necessary changes in financial processes and controls.
- Implement and monitor cost control measures. Work closely with project teams to ensure projects are completed within budget.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Providing them with necessary financial information and reports.
- Lead and manage a small finance team. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
- Contribute to the strategic planning of the company. Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
- Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified professional, holding ACCA, CIMA, or ACA credentials, ideally complemented by prior experience in the construction industry. Remuneration
- Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 per annum, dependant on experience
- Hours: 8.30am to 5pm – Monday to Friday – Hybrid working (3 days in the office 2 day WFH)
- Holidays: 25 days plus statutory days
