One of the most prestigious global residential property developers is looking to hire a Financial Controller. The business is responsible for some of the most well known living locations across London – a true place maker. Well funded the business is continuing to invest in London and across the UK, with seven live projects all delivering between 750 – 3000 homes each!
As the Financial Controller you would report directly to the UK Finance Director and be responsible for the business’s JV projects and corporate reporting, along with managing a management accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business and gain a broad set of experience across budgeting, forecasting, management accounting, team management and statutory reporting.
The successful candidate would be a qualified accountant with at least 2 years post qualification experience. They would be ambitious, a team player and have experience managing a team.
Key responsibilities
- Production of annual budgets and re-forecast, monitoring progress working closely with development and asset management to identify variance
- Timely production of monthly management accounts for all relevant entities in the UK including consolidation.
- Responsible for preparing annual IFRS statutory accounts and lead schedules and to be the primary point of contact for auditors for the UK entities.
- Day to day Treasury management. This involves managing monthly debt and equity drawdowns for the various entities.
- Support Finance Director on specific tasks as they arise such as preparation of relevant finance recommendations and Board proposals
- Day to day management of 1 qualified accountant
Candidate
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with at least 2 year PQE
- Real estate experience is highly desirable
- Team management experience is a prerequisite
- Strong communicator and the ability to work well in a team
- Experience preparing full sets of management accounts (inc consolidated structures) would be highly beneficial
