Altum Consulting are excited to bring a newly created role to market with one of the fastest growing FinTech firms in London in their search for a Finance Manager to join their team. Our clients unique offering has seen them go through rapid growth and on the back of a raise last year are continuing to bring on ambitious and motivated individuals to join them during this period. They have an excellent culture and offer an exciting product which has already resulted in several awards from well known institutions.
As our client is a scale-up business, this role provides an excellent opportunity for the successful applicant to get involved in a broad and holistic accounting role where they will take lead on the day to day accounting functions, work, liaise and lead on various functions with a range of stakeholders across the business, both from within and outside of finance, will get involved with investors and work on many interesting and diverse projects all whilst focusing on core accounting responsibilities.
Further, this role will provide an excellent opportunity to work with senior finance leaders who are committed to developing and mentoring the individual in this role with ample opportunity to grow and develop as the business embarks upon this next phase. Thus, would suit someone who is ambitious, driven, motivated and keen for an environment where there will be support, but they have the autonomy and freedom to take ownership for day to day finance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead across day to day finance: own month end reporting process – P&L, balance sheet
- Liaising with a range of stakeholders both within and outside of finance
- Act as key point of contact for all finance queries
- Investor reporting
- Working with key suppliers on payments and billing
- Assist with a variety of ad hoc projects required across the broader finance team
The background we think would suit this role:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Ideally experience working within a start-up, technology, fintech or financial services firm (direct or client base)
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- Ambitious; hardworking; keen for a challenge whilst working in a friendly and close-knit team
