We are working with a growing consultancy who provide planning and design management to building projects in communities overseas.

Due to growth, the organisation require a Finance Manager to be the number two in the UK. You will report to the Finance Director and be a Qualified Accountant with an appetite to improve processes.

You will join in a 1 year contract to upskill the function. Your initial role will be to improve processes and support the FD with day to day finance duties.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

* Preparing monthly management accounts.
* Assisting with the implementation and monitoring of group financial accounting policies.
* Dealing with consultant and audit queries.
* Supporting with various projects.
* Reconciliations including: inter-company, balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
* Monthly cashflows.
* Daily review and Journal approvals.
* Quarterly VAT preparation and submission for 4 companies.
* You will be senior to two accounts assistants and will need to help with purchase and salles ledger duties when needed.
* Maintaining the relationship with the external auditors, ensuring audit deliverables are provided and audit queries responded to timely.

About You:

* You will only be considered if you are a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
* Broad experience in accounts is preferable and with enthusiasm to improve processes.
* There is a good team environment where people help each other out and work closely to achieve deadlines. Therefore, communication and with strong attention to detail will be key.
