Finance Director – 9 Month Fixed Term Contract – £100,000 – £120,000 + Benefits – London (Hybrid)
FryerMiles is partnering with a prominent PE backed Alternative Asset Management organisation in London, who are recruiting for a ‘Hands-on’ Finance Director to cover a maternity leave on a 9 month on a fixed term contract. The organisation is moving at pace so the chance for something internally after this contract is quite high.
This crucial role aims to manage all responsibilities during the Finance Director’s absence, particularly as the business undergoes delisting due to its acquisition, thereby necessitating new reporting requirements. The role will be based in London and will provide substantial support to the CFO and Group Financial Controller across a number of areas including:
Implementing new reporting frameworks post-acquisition
Establishing, organising and overseeing the treasury function
Engaging and driving Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Overseeing corporate activities, participating in finance project management and supporting the CFO with ad hoc tasks as they come about.
The main tasks and responsibilities include:
Partner with the CFO and Group Financial Controller across various crucial domains, including:
Addressing new reporting requirements resulting from the acquisition
Establishing and managing the treasury function, encompassing liquidity management, cash planning, FX risk, and debt covenants oversight
Supervising Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities, collaborating closely with the FP&A Manager on forecasting, budgeting, and modelling
Working with the FP&A manager and Group Risk Manager to deliver the ICARA.
Contributing to the production and compilation of the Annual Report in collaboration with key stakeholders
Work alongside the Group Financial Controller to develop financial policies and procedures that guide the team’s activities. This includes accounting standards, financial reporting guidelines, and internal controls.
Our client seeks an accomplished finance professional who is ACA Qualified with a strong technical and commercial background, having covered Fund Accounting and Asset management coupled with Treasury and FP&A experience. The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar fast paced and dynamic environment with a hands on approach. You will possess an inquisitive mindset with the ability to take ownership of problems and seek to propose solutions.
