Finance Controller – Manchester City Centre – Hybrid Working

Basic from £50k to £70k plus end of year bonus

We are looking to appoint on behalf of our prestigious client for an exceptional Finance Controller based in Manchester City.

You will be joining a gigantic global brand within the Beverage and Manufacturing industry. They offer a flexible and agile working environment, family-friendly culture and non micro management.

Purpose of the role:

Responsible in accounting and controlling 5 entities within the UK.

This role will oversee and manage the monthly -quarterly and year-end financial process required for financial reporting.

Your Key Tasks:

  • Lead pro-active balance sheet review and reconciliation analysis for all UK entities, including deep understanding of accruals.
  • Ensuring strong adherence and compliance to the companies accounting and control policies.
  • Support and lead month end close (MEC) meetings supported by GBS.
  • Support and lead Hard close process for the UK entities.
  • Lead the local statutory accounting and audit for the UK entities, supported by a local external accountancy firm.
  • Strong understanding of the target operating model and ensuring set-up of intercompany service agreement are followed through in accounting and process flows.
  • Support and lead external audits, first point of contact for KPMG.
  • Support and lead internal control self-assessments as required.
  • Support ad hoc consultancy engagement requests initiated by the HQ.
  • Drive continuous improvement, optimisation, and standardisation of the companies operating model together with Tax function.
  • Set-up a ways of working with the companies global shared service centre in Bangalore and drive global services, process, and system improvement opportunities in the end state.
  • Strengthen the performance reporting process to meet key deadlines (WD 3) monthly & quarterly performance review.

Important thing: Must have Auditor experience along with managing Multi Sites.

Skills required:

  • At least 10 years experience in accounting and controlling.
  • Experience in BIG 4 accounting firm is a BIG plus.
  • Ability to work in "Start Up" environment experience developing policies, process and strategy.
  • Experience in consumer goods industry.
