We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Oil & Gas team based in our Manchester office. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the creation of fire alarm design drawings, tracking submittals and approvals. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

How you will do it

As an Electrical Project Engineer you will be part of the project team within the Detection & Control division working on electrical projects for Fire & Gas detection systems. You will interpret client’s technical specifications and commercial documentation. Responsibilities will include assistance with estimating of contracts, providing design / engineering solutions to technical specifications, procurement of equipment (liaising with clients and supplier alike), be able to produce and deliver documentation in a timely manner, and assist in ensuring that the projects are brought to conclusion on time within budget and to the client’s specification.

What we look for

Essential

  • Electrical engineering experience.

  • Minimum HNC/HND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering

  • Experience in interpreting client’s technical specifications.

  • Experience working with Microsoft standard packages.

  • Good working knowledge of Fire & Gas detection equipment.

  • AutoCAD design experience

  • Good understanding of Software based systems.

Preferred

  • Full UK Diving License

  • Experience of Tyco current Fire Detection systems

  • Previous Fire & Gas design experience preferred.

  • FS Eng (TUV certified)
