A highly-regarded national law firm has opened a newly created position within their Commercial Law team and are looking to hire a proven Data Protection & Technology lawyer, to join the firm as a Senior or Managing Associate.
The Firm
Our client is one of the most highly-regarded law firms in South West England and also have offices in London and the North of the country.
The role will be working closely with 2 specialist Data Privacy and Technology Partners along with the wider commercial team.
The team covers large data and technology projects and advisory matters, often with an international element. These include:
- Compliance audits
- DPIAs
- Group processing arrangements
- International data transfers
- Transformational technology projects
- Complex licensing
- Implementation of digital initiatives
- Traditional & new technology contracts
The team has gained reputation as leaders in advising clients on personal data usage in marketing activities and social media as well as their advisory work for clients in the FinTech & CleanTech sectors.
Candidates
We are looking for a UK qualified senior lawyer who is able to work from one of many locations in the South West of England on a flexible basis.
The successful candidate will have gained demonstrable experience in Data Privacy & Technology law with a reputable law firm.
You will lead on matters including negotiating and drafting all documentation in respect of data and tech matters and you will operate in tandem with the firm’s Corporate team on matters with data and/or technology elements.
You will also be responsible for the delegation to and supervision of more junior fee earners in the team.
