My client, a leading distribution business with an international footprint are searching for a Transport Contract Manager to support in continuing to grow service levels and efficiency’s across 5 major contracts for the group.
Description
Key responsibilities of the Transport Contract Manager include;
- Provide leadership, development, training, motivation and support to all colleagues in your line through the assignment and stewardship of clear objectives. The stewardship process must include structured periodic reviews with your team.
- Ensure that all processes are appropriate and implemented to manage and steward safety, customer service, regulatory compliance, industrial relations, resource provision, resource utilisation and other key efficiency parameters.
- Ensure that the necessary processes and interfaces are in place to facilitate the achievement of the Company objectives.
- Ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met, including but not exclusive to: operator’s licence, drivers hours/ WTD regulations, R&M and testing of vehicles for all operations under your control.
- Maintain an awareness of long term customer forecasts and ensure that sufficient resources (assets and people) are in place in order to be able to meet customer requirements.
- Deliver the financial performance in line with contract and budget parameters and in particular the management of the commercial contracts, revenue streams, costs, efficiency’s and productivity of all operations under your control.
- Directly and through his/her team build and maintain excellent relationships with customers and other departments involved in the delivery of the business objectives, enabling the company to win/realise profitable opportunities in line with its strategy
- To participate and support the strategic development of the company both locally and more widely across the whole company to meet its long term business objectives.
Profile
Ideally, the successful candidate will have operated in a similar level position within the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain sector and live within a commutable distance throughout Yorkshire and The Humber
Job Offer
- Basic Salary of £60,000 – £70,000
