Job description
We are looking for an experienced Container Repairer to join our busy deport to carry out the daily repairs on all damaged MSC containers. This will include cutting, welding, carpentry and spray painting.
We believe the successful Container Control Clerk should have the following skills:
- Previous experience in same role essential
- Cutting
- Gas Cutting
- Welding
- Forklift Driving experience
- Carpentry to a basic level
The key tasks for the Container Control Clerk are:
- To repair all damaged units as quickly as possible for return to service
- Basic carpentry to repair wooden floors
- Spray painting repair containers
- Gas Cutting and welding to fix damaged containers
- Fixing of tarpaulins
- Assist when needed with all the other aspects of yard/operation (including Inspection, Washing, Flexi bags fitting/removal, GOH removal)
Working Hours:
- 45 hour week Mon- Fri, 9 hours a day between the operational hours of 07:00 – 18:00. Overtime available depending on business needs.
